After writing roughly half of the record during a cold weekend getaway to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Path of the Moon (Charlie's debut LP) quickly became an 'album of escape.' Oceanic scenes made their way from the front door of a quiet beach house straight into the life of four songs. These would eventually serve as the thematic and stylistic foundation for the entirety of the project, which, ultimately, formed into a colorfully simplistic body of ten songs. Each track was recorded completely live in Charlotte, North Carolina.
